My name is Lise Moody and teach a range of jewellery techniques - polymer clay, resin, faux bone, and cold connections with found objects. My brand new studio in Mile End has been developed so we can have a comfortable & safe teaching space.

Most of my students start with metal clay, either PMC or Art Clay Silver. Metal Clay is made up of fine silver (.999) particles suspended in an organic binder that looks a little like clay. It is a revolutionary new product from Japan that will allow you to make fine silver jewellery in your own home. It can be rolled, kneaded, stamped, moulded, shaped and filed. Once fired your work turns into a piece of fine silver jewellery. Once students have made something gorgeous to wear in metal clay they want to learn more - what are cold connections, how do I add colour to my work, can I add brass/copper/stainless/iron, what can I do with this photo/concert ticket/memorabilia to make it special?

Thats where I come in. Workshops are conducted in Mile End in a range of media as well as open studio where you can work on your UFOs (unfinished objects) with my support. Classes are restricted to 10 maximum, depending on content. I also work with interstate artists who are willing to travel and teach from this wonderful art space.
